Cyber Security Review Grant
Enterprise Ireland and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have launched a new Cyber Security Review Grant to assist Irish SMEs in strengthening their cyber defences.
Eligibility & Application
The Cyber Security Review grant, provided by Enterprise Ireland in collaboration with the NCSC, is available to Irish companies that are clients of Enterprise Ireland.
Eligible businesses can apply for funding to cover 80% of the fixed project cost of €3,000, making it an affordable step towards securing your digital assets.
There is also a Cyber Security Remediation Grant available, providing funding to cover 80% of the fixed project cost, of €60,000, providing an incredible opportunity for your enterprise.
Note: a completed Cyber Security Review is a necessary step for applying for the National Cyber Security Centre grant of up to €60,000.
What the Grant Covers
The Cyber Security Review Grant includes:
- Cybersecurity Assessment: Conducted by certified cybersecurity experts, this assessment will review your current cybersecurity status, both on-site and in the cloud.
- Vulnerability Identification: The review will identify potential vulnerabilities in your systems and practices.
- Actionable Roadmap: You will receive a detailed report with specific, measurable actions to improve your cybersecurity posture, based on the NCSC framework.
The support of a qualified, external, Cyber security expert to:
- Interview key company personnel.
- Investigate current company practices.
- Review the technical implementation of both on-site and cloud software being used.
It is expected that the bulk of the follow-on actions provided will be structured so they can be implemented by your company directly.
The report will also feature signposting to other industry supports and training available and appropriate to your company as a follow on to your Security Journey.
A completed Cyber Security Review is a necessary step for applying for the National Cyber Security Centre grant of up to €60,000 – NCC-IE Grants for SMEs (ncsc.gov.ie).

The Application Process
- Application review: 1-2 weeks processing time although it is often much faster.
- Decision made and application approved/rejected.
- If approved, Grant issued and accepted via DocuSign.
- Project carried out with consultant.
- Consultant invoices company.
- Company makes a claim to Enterprise Ireland by submitting the correct documents. The final claim date for your grant will be 6 months from the issue date of the letter of offer from Enterprise Ireland.
- Company is reimbursed.
- Company contacts their agency advisor to discuss follow-on actions.
